7° Edition - Créé en 2009

The aim of SiciliAmbiente Festival is to promote independent documentary cinema and to encourage creative exchange and networking among the directors.

The Festival is organized and sponsored by Demetra Produzioni SAS and CANTIERE 7 Cultural Association, with the support of the City of San Vito Lo Capo and many other sponsors who share the same principles of the Festival.
Films dealing with the following themes may participate: Environment, Anthropology, Human Rights, Biodiversity, War, Integration, Civil Rights, Sustainable Development and the Relationship between Man and the Environment.

The Festival is divided into different sections :

– the International Documentary Film contest (minimum length: 31 minutes)
– the International Short Film contest for Fiction and Documentaries (maximum length 30 minutes)
– the International Animated and Short film contests (maximum length 30 minutes)
– a non-competitive section called “Short Movies for Kids” (maximum length 30 minutes)
– a non-competitive section called “Work” in collaboration with the labor movement archives
– an international overview of documentaries, fiction, short films and several tributes, retrospectives, seminars and panel discussions.

Tarifs To submit a film, please register and pay the entry fee of €15 for Documentary (minimum length 31 minutes) and €10 for Short and Animated Film (maximum length 30 minutes).

There is no fee for the non-competitive section “Short Movies for Kids”. The completed and signed application form must be sent with the required documentation by the30th of April 2015 (the postmark date will serve as proof).
